We are happy to advise you on whether your idea is eligible for funding and in what form, and to support you in finding suitable research and industry partners.
We offer tailored talks for companies, municipalities, public administration, industry associations, research institutions, and schools, and, if you are interested, we are also happy to give you a tour of our Twin²Sim Experimental Building.
We support you in developing concepts and preparing applications within our areas of expertise, and we are available as a research partner during project implementation.
Within our areas of expertise, we are happy to advise you on whether and how your idea is, or can become, eligible for funding, and which research and industry partners can contribute the competencies required for a successful joint project.
Do you need our expertise as a partner in an R&D project?
Do you need experienced, scientifically and organizationally sound leadership for R&D projects?
Project management or consortium leadership is responsible for organizational and scientific coordination, as well as reporting and financial reporting to the funding agency. As an ethical, central partner in the consortium (as first among equals), it helps ensure project success and secure funding.
Across all our Working Groups and within Centre Leadership, we have staff members with extensive experience in leadership and coordination, and we continuously guide our younger team members into this demanding role, with close support and a safety net.

Are you interested in our topics and would like to receive targeted information on initiatives and results?
Knowledge transfer is both a founding purpose of the Centre and a personal commitment.
Eine sehr effiziente Methode, um gezielt über den wissenschaftlichen Kenntnisstand, aktuelle Forschung und unsere Initiativen und Ergebnisse informiert zu werden, sind Einzelvorträge oder Vortragsreihen.
One highly effective way to get targeted information on the current state of scientific knowledge, current research, and our initiatives and results is through individual talks or a series of talks. After coordinating with your needs and the expected target audience, we prepare inspirational, informational, and technical talks tailored to each audience. The content can draw on the expertise of the Energy Systems Working Group, the Building Envelopes and Building Systems Working Group, and the Settlement Systems Working Group, but can also cover cross-cutting topics. For results from collaborative research projects with research and development partners, we strive to include representatives of our partners to provide the best possible technical information.
Our experimental building, Twin²Sim, with its façade test rig, offers an innovative way to examine structural, building services, or multifunctional building components or systems. We cover this in talks, or even better, as part of a guided tour. Get in touch with our Centre Leadership or the Working Group Leads.

Are specific topics or specific research results so relevant to you that you want to train, not just inform, your employees, customers, or partners?
Our tailored training sessions or webinars can provide you, your employees, and your partners with insights into our research and development results and, if needed, enable you to independently apply our findings and the tools we have developed.
To ensure a strong fit, we develop customized one-on-one training sessions or courses together with you, tailored to your needs.
As a starting point, existing training offerings can be used as a cost-effective option.

Do you need an answer to a research question or a study?
Do you want to work on a larger project exclusively and without publication, in collaboration?
Are there no research funding programs for your needs, or do you not have the time to wait for an uncertain funding decision?
Contract research is the right choice whenever you do not want to publish results, when there is no time to wait for funding decisions, or when the question does not fit the constraints of funded research due to its scope or focus.
We are happy to take on such assignments and ensure the involvement of necessary expertise from the scientific community and practice that we do not have in-house. Confidentiality is a given. In contract research projects, we also remain committed to scientific integrity and ethics. convenient” results or statements fall outside our interests and our capabilities.

Would you like to develop a product or service, but you lack the resources?
Would you like to test prototypes?
Do you want confirmation of the feasibility of solutions and their alignment with your objectives?
Often, solution approaches stall during development because there is, or seems to be, no suitable support for transferring them into application. Funding opportunities for practice-oriented “experimental development” leave much to be desired, and many value it less than “industrial research.” Turning research into practical solutions is not more important than research itself, but it is just as necessary. For us, solutions take precedence over formal requirements, and we are committed to applicability. That is why we view the development of prototypes, products, systems, and services as equal in value to research, especially when it requires research expertise, scientific methods such as simulation, experiments, and measurements, as well as accuracy and integrity.
If you are looking for these capabilities within our fields of expertise and want to develop innovative solutions, we can serve as a development partner.

Has your research project already taken shape? Do you already have scientific and/or application-oriented partners, but preparing a research funding application still poses challenges?
Preparing research funding applications is not an easy task. Competition is intense, and successful applications meet a high standard of quality.
A solid understanding of the mechanisms, how review panels evaluate proposals, the correct use of key terms, and funding and cost requirements is essential. A sound, goal-oriented research design aligned with the focus areas and objectives of the respective funding program requires subject-matter and methodological expertise on the one hand, and well-founded knowledge of the structure of the scientific landscape in the relevant field on the other. With our expertise and experience, we support you from the initial project idea through the funding application and all the way to final financial reporting.
In all fairness, we cannot guarantee success. Too many competitors and funding pools that are too small often make it necessary to submit multiple applications to the same or to different programs, or they result in a project being rejected. But we can work with you to improve your chances. Preparing an application already requires an interdisciplinary team, builds and expands networks, and often yields additional or alternative research questions. We welcome your inquiries. Do you have research and development needs? You know what you want, just not with whom? ou know what you want, just not with whom?
Are you looking for research partners?
Do you have innovative ideas and want to develop them?
Developing research projects and applying for funding involves several challenges: the technical terminology of research design and funding applications, the required network of partners and expertise holders, and the question of whether your idea is eligible for funding at all. As a result, good ideas and relevant solutions can fall by the wayside at the outset. That costs society innovation and slows economic, technical, and social development. That should not happen. We are happy to advise you, build research projects with you, and take care of research funding and the indispensable building block of successful research projects and funded projects: a technically well-aligned consortium with clearly assigned competencies in science and practice.
