Statement on Accessibility
Zentrum Alpines Bauen endeavors to make its website accessible in accordance with the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG) idgF implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 of December 2, 2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://alpinesbauen.at/.
Compliance Status
Due to the incompatibilities and exceptions set out below, the website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
We plan to address accessibility deficiencies on an ongoing basis.
The underlying criteria are based on WCAG 2.1 conformance level AA and the European standard EN 301 549 V3.1.2 (PDF).
WCAG conformance requirement item 9.6 of EN 301 549 is not met because WCAG 2.1 Level AA is only partially fulfilled.
Non-Accessible Content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons.
a) Non-Compliance With the Accessibility Requirements
- Not all editorial images across all subsites have meaningful alternative text. Some linked images are missing alternative text. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.1.1 Non-Text Content)
- Embedded videos do not have sufficient text descriptions. (1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative)
- Pages do not consistently use a fully coherent heading structure throughout. Downloadable PDFs are not tagged. (1.3.1 Info and Relationships)
b) Disproportionate Burden Exceptions
- Videos on the website do not include audio description. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded)) The videos can be regarded as additional content because the information conveyed is generally also available in text form on the website, or the videos are interviews without a feature-film storyline.
- PDFs of print publications can be downloaded from the website. They are not fully implemented in an accessible manner. Here, too, content is presented that is also conveyed in summarized form directly on the website. For more recent publications, we endeavor to implement accessibility requirements. For older publications, the effort constitutes a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility provisions.
c) Content Outside the Scope of the Applicable Legal Provisions
- The website provides documents (PDF) for download that were published before September 23, 2018. They are not relevant for administrative purposes and therefore fall outside the scope of the applicable legal provisions.
- Videos published before September 23, 2020, fall outside the scope.
- Third-party content that is not within our sphere of influence is excluded from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding compliance with the accessibility provisions for such third-party content.
