Background
The Summer Academy provided a framework to strengthen cross-border networks and to transfer research results into practice. This helps advance the careful and sustainable use of the available space in the Alpine region, as well as the adoption of new energy-efficient building and energy technologies. Sharing current research results creates direct added value for the individual regions, with positive effects on the environment, the economy, and quality of life.
Project Objectives
The goal of the Summer Academy was to promote knowledge exchange among the Arge-Alp regions in the field of building and settlement development. Two focal areas were at the center: innovative building design and sustainable settlement development.
The Summer Academy served as a best-practice example for cooperation, network building, and exchange between research and society. It connected experts and stakeholders from the member regions, strengthened cross-border collaboration, and generated new momentum for sustainable development.
Results
The Summer Academy was held, and the results were compiled and made accessible in a bilingual (German/Italian) publication.
