Background
Development of statewide, evidence-based indicators for integrated public transit and microtransit planning in the State of Salzburg
Project Objectives
The project develops innovative analysis methods that can be used to introduce new microtransit systems and expand existing services. In addition, it provides statewide indicators to strategically integrate microtransit services into the existing public transit network and the State of Salzburgās expansion plans. One focus is to more clearly delineate and systematically prioritize demand areas for public transit and microtransit. The project also examines how potential stop areas can be optimized, with the goal of serving as much currently underserved potential as possible with as few additional stops as possible. In particular, municipal structure and current public transit access are incorporated into the analysis.
